We are delighted to present new keynote speaker for the 19th International scientific conference Business Logistics in Modern Management (BLMM2019) – Dr. Alexander Trautrims from Nottingham University Business School, Great Britain. Please join us for the lecture on Modern slavery in supply chains!
Dr. Trautrims leads the Unchained Supply project at the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab, a transdisciplinary research centre that works towards the eradication of modern slavery. The Global Slavery Index estimates that currently 40.3 million people across the world live in modern slavery, more than ever before in history. He will explain what modern slavery is, where it can be found in supply chains and why supply chain management is crucial to solving modern slavery.
He will introduce some of his current research on how supply chain design affects the occurrence of modern slavery and how modern slavery in supply chains can be prevented. His presentation will conclude with raising opportunities for supply chain scholars from all areas of the discipline to get involved in working towards slavery-free supply chains.
We hope to see you at BLMM2019 conference!
