BLMM 2024 Conference Keynote Speaker

We are delighted to present the keynote speaker for the 24th International scientific conference Business Logistics in Modern Management (BLMM2024) – Peter Corfitsen, the CEO of Rijeka Gateway.

Peter Corfitsen is the CEO of Rijeka Gateway, the biggest container terminal in Croatia, which is currently being built.

From 2021 to 2024 Peter was the CEO of Maersk’s cargo airline, Maersk Air Cargo. During his more than 30 years of experience in container shipping with Maersk, Peter has held a series of leadership positions in the company, notably with base in Denmark, US, South Africa, Singapore and Panama.

Peter Corfitsen will give a lecture titled “RGW as enabler of Rijeka becoming the main gateway to Central Europe’s logistics HUB”. Upon completion, the Rijeka Gateway terminal will be the most modern, mostly remotely controlled container terminal in this part of Europe. Peter will offer insights in all cutting edge technologies used on this state-of-the-art terminal and will provide a deep dive in the project details.
