BLMM 2025 Conference Keynote Speaker

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to present you the keynote speaker for the 25th International scientific conference Business Logistics in Modern Management (BLMM2025) – Assoc. Prof. Violeta Roso from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden).

Violeta Roso is an Associate Professor in the Department of Technology Management and Economics. She teaches master’s and postgraduate courses and supervises both PhD and master’s students.
A leading researcher in the field of dry ports, she has been studying the topic since 2003 and earned her PhD in 2009 at Chalmers with a doctoral thesis titled The Dry Port Concept. Her work is widely recognized, with numerous highly cited publications in top-ranked journals. Stanford University has included her in its list of the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in Logistics and Transportation for five consecutive years (2020–2024). Top Researchers List
She has held visiting academic positions at UNSW Sydney, Australia, and UNF Florida, USA. Additionally, she has served as Editor-in-Chief of the World Review of Intermodal Transport Research, guest editor for Maritime Economics and Logistics and Transport Geography, and a member of editorial boards for multiple transport journals.
Her expertise has been recognized internationally, leading to appointments on national scientific advisory boards for transportation in Croatia, Italy, and Sweden. Since 2018, she has been a Scientific Council member for intermodal transport at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU). In 2021, she joined the Italian Transport Regulation Authority (ART – Autorità di Regolazione dei Trasporti), and from 2021 to 2022, she was a member of the Swedish National Freight Transport Council (Nationella godstransportrådet).
She has been a keynote speaker, panelist, and plenary session speaker at various transport-related conferences. Notably, she was an honorary guest and speaker at the UNESCAP special session of the IFSPA 2009 conference, “Dry Port Development in Asia and Other Regions: Theory and Practice,” in Hong Kong.
